I am yet to see a Somali Diaspora whose motivation of going back home is to help the long suffering nation of our's. Every single time when a new a premier comes on board, all his clan members from the Diaspora move in the like wolves in Jubba. And if you honestly believe that their intentions are to help, you are fooling yourself. Remember how Abdilaahi Yusuf's goverment was brought down by corrupt, uneducated and useless aids like the Subxaanyo guy. All the Ilka-Yars in Muqdisho went there because of Farmaajo just for the loot. Look at this guy who used to walk around with a microphone and camera in his hands around Somali malls in MN, and now all the sudden he is an big time baller in Muqdisho working for the goverment:


I have one of his video productions interviewing my 90-year old grandmother at Mall24 asking about the life in the States. That qualified him to be the spokesperson for the goverment? Instead of hiring these wolves from the Diaspora, why not give the people back home these opportunities. I know for sure that there are 10 times more educated and more qualified Somalis back home than in the Diaspora. It just doesn't make any sense. The few dollars you send back home for remittance for your suffering relatives would come back here in US acocunts through these so-called "goverment officials".

It is all about the green man!!! Just last night, I was talking with an assist professor who is a Somali and hails from the same clan as the current premier. He told me something interesting. Prof. Abdiweli's salary at Niagra University was about $5000 a month; with all the deducations, his take home was less than 3500. Now as a premier, his salary is over 20,000 a month. Tax free a Somali style. A minister gets about $5000 a month. Now with that money plus the cheap living costs in Muqdisho, these guys are there for the money.

I personally think an Ogaden guy should never be made a Prime Minister or President in Somalia, for all the ONLF Fighters and Supporters will abandon their positions and flood Mogadishu.

Okay i undestand your concern. No one should be given a job based on tribalism or anything of that matter. Competent people can only take such roles.

But lets not attack the prime minister. But again, i do unerstand your legitimate concerns and it is abosolutely true.

This results in a poor cabinet or goverment that does not bring in fresh ideas or strategies on how to restore Somalia. Incompetent people should never get any seat in no Goverment. IF any goverment wants to be respected, then it cant indulge itself in childish things such as tribalism. Mananaging a nation is not easy, and tribalism will only hamper development and increase political and social bickering.

Well the TFG system was designed to keep political bickering in Somalia. The 4,5 and all these nonsense will hopefully end in next year August.
