This Memo explains what happened behind the Scenes that led to Somalia's Problems.

Somalia's Problems started when after President Siyaad Barre almost destroyed Modern-Day Ethiopia. The Soviet Union and other Foreign powers realized how much of a Threat Somalia, led by Jalle Siyaad Barre was to the existence of Ethiopia, Kenya and other Countries, therefore, they created, funded financially and militarily what we know today as SSDF, SNM and towards the late 1980s, the USC and SPM.

You know there is something fishy going on, when you see Mengistu supporting SNM and SSDF against Jalle Siyaad Barre? Had SNM, SSDF, USC and SPM were not created, Ethiopia wouldn't be in existence today. In April 1991, Mengistu fail from Power and his Derg Party vanquished. If Somalia was still intact, Jalle Siyaad Barre would've invaded Ethiopia again and forcefully take Western Somalia or at least would have it returned by Meles Zenawi.

Mind you, the Soviet Union, Mengistu's #1 Ally also collapsed during the same time.

Siad barre was behind the assasination of many fellow Nationalist senior military officials. Siad barre imprisoned Caidid for fear of him stopping Siad from being a life long dictator and then he locked him up for Six years and then when he was freed, he was sent abroad so he cant bother Siad. Abdullahi Yusuf was also going to be sent abroad but instead he refused and got jail time by Siad barre.

Primitive tribalism

with the following symptoms and consequences:

corruption,
passivity
hunger for power
a mental disorder based on the state as being the provider
etc etc


All other explanations are symptoms not CAUSAL
