Firstly, the gas and Oil fields are in predominately in strong ONLF areas. The Ethiopian dictatorship claimed last year that Petronas would export Gas and Oil in 2014 through Djibouti; which makes much more sense than Somaliland. However, months later, they left and Government was embarrassed. Building infrastructure for Somaliland and though the Somali region in Ethiopia is unrealistic and plays into the feeble minds of those who think development can occur on the expense of others in 2011.

This so called plan is unfeasible since these pipelines and other such flammable infrastructure are easily destroyable. The exploration companies will have minimal security and face constant attacks by ONLF.
