Mineral industry (Including carving the minerals before Exporting it+ using it for internal consumption)

Oil industry (Exporting Oil to consumers)

Camel industry (milk,Meat &medecine)

Livestock Industry (Meat procesing, hide producing, livestock exporting)

Indigenous pharmaceutical industry (myrrh, camel urine and camel milk have cancer and other sickness preventing effects)

Agricultural Industry (6 million hektar arable land in the south, capable of producing food, fruits and keeping the country self sufficient in food supplies+ exporting the surplus)

Fish industry (Africa´s longest coastline filled with all kinds of sea creatures, can be used for producing of high nutritous supplements, tuna fish factories and exporting to predominantly East asian markets with high demand)

Uranium reserves (Possibility of Somalia using nuclear power for energy consumption and exporting electricity to Djibouti)

Trade industry ( Exporting of goods through our port for mainly the landlocked nation Ethiopia but also for South sudan, this can be down with lower taxes then our neighbours and better port facilities.)

Other Industries that the future Somali goverment can focus on are:

Ship building Industry

Consumers: African Nations who necessarily dont have the Economic means to buy Foreign made naval vessels for their own security (protection of pirates or illegal european fish trawlers) and economic ( shipping or receiving their goods by themselves without the interference of foreign countries) use.

Internal use: Ship building for establishing our own Navy and improving our cababilities of shipping and receiving goods through our own manpower stationed in the somali made ships.

Iron & Steel Industry
The steel industry is the foundation of many other potential Somali export industries, and is thus vital to be established.

Internal Use: The steel and Iron will be used widely in the construction of roads, railways, other infrastructure, appliances, and buildings. Most large modern structures, such as stadiums and skyscrapers, bridges, and airports, are supported by a steel skeleton. So this will be mainly for internal use,

Exporting: This industry has potential for exporting in Africa, because of the lack of infrastructure in Africa compared to the rest of the world.

Small arms Industry:
The common understanding Somali people have is that lack of production of arms internally have made us vulnerable externally. i think nobody would argue with me here when i say that Somalis lost the Ogaden war, because of the Western powers decision of halting military aid. And thus our whole world came down because of our lack of modernasation.

Internal use: Small arms is a realistic first step for SOmalis, we should not think of producing or being capable of producing tanks and jets, but we should undertsand that all nations had to take the first small step first. Small arms would be good to use for our police force across the nation and for our foot soldeirs as part of their military gear.

Exporting:
Supplying liberation groups that collide with our interest should be supported by small arms. The exporting however will be done to other small African nations who receive little military aid, such as benin, senegal etc. Our prices will be of course be lower then the market price initally.

This is everything i could come up with. If you have anything to add then feel free. :som:

This is why Foreign powers have been mingling in, in Somalia Civil War, instigating, manipulating Somalia's political arena. They know that Somalia is capable of becoming Self-Sufficient.

It won't need loans from the World Bank, it won't need loans from the IMF. It surely won't need International AID.

The mineral, Oil and Ship building industry will be stationed in the North. Bosaso and Berbera would also have to be upgraded, especially Bosaso.

The agricultural Industry will be exporting its goods through Kismaayo (rehabilitation of that port is needed also).

The Small arms producing factories & research facilities will be far in the Mainland of Somalia (prefferably the southern part)

I would also think it would be a good idea to station atleast 10 Naval Headquarters through Somalia. The tip of the Puntland region is very important in this sense.

CAMEL URINE?
Yes my caps-lock addicted friend 8-)

Read:
Among the uses of camel’s urine, many women use it to wash their hair, to make it longer, and to make it lighter and more lustrous. Camel’s urine is also efficacious in the treatment of swelling of the liver and other diseases such as abscesses, sores that appear on the body and toothache, and for washing eyes. End quote.

Imagine if there was no Civil war? we'd be right up there with the top countries in Africa, and in terms of self-sufficiency, we'd BE the best in the business. We'd have people emigrating to Somalia instead of the other way around   .

But alas, it is what it is, Now what do we need to do as to prepare for the future? education. Educate yourself in the best fields out there, whether it be Medicine, Engineering, Law, Business, Pharmacy, Nursing, Science, Agriculture, Environmental sciences, and last but not least EDUCATION!!! We need all the tools necessary in order to fade off Western AND Asian influence, we cannot be dependant on the Chinese to build infrastructures or extract oil/minerals for us, we cannot be dependant on a Europoean doctor and nurses to heal our people, and most importantly, we CANNOT depend on international aid, I'd spit on it and throw it in the Sea. :som: :som: :som:
