Re: Two Different Worlds
Are Saudis supposed to babysit niggers because they have oil? Sometimes I want to open a nigger brain and see what's inside it. If you love your people, YOU help them. But I have a feeling you won't. Look at this forum, there's members here whose own relatives might be in limbo but they show little concern for the future and harp on recklessly. What can a Saudi do for someone whose own brother refuses to help him. Before blaming Saudis, look at yourself. The meal you're eating tonight is probably more than what a normal Saudi aristocrat will eat tonight.
Re: Two Different Worlds
It's not just the Saudis, it's the people on this forum aswell.

Of course this isn't the way of our religion. the prophet scw and his Sahaaba use to sleep hungry while they tie their stomachs and here we have ppl baking a whole camel and putting it on a dish and than dumping the food. its excessive.Monk-of-Mogadishu wrote:Are Saudis supposed to babysit niggers because they have oil? I know the prophet prayed for them arabs to never go hunger and provide them with food and water, but that is too much.
Re: Two Different Worlds
If you really take into account the way ordinary people like us in the west break our fast and put it next to the famine in Somalia that will be excessive too. You don't really have to bring Saudis into the picture in order to get your point across. It would have been better if you reminded people in here to spare a though for the starving when breaking our fast and not to overstuff ourselves with saambuusa and timir. All this will do is bring the saudi and arab haters to have a field day with their anti-Arab sentiment.
You are using the worse kind of people to remind us about how hungry the Sahabah use to go in a month of ramadan when it would have been much better to bring it little bit closer to home.

Re: Two Different Worlds
What does SAUDI ARABIAN excess have to do with AFRICAN shortages? The Saudis' feasts are as relevant to a starving African as a Puerto Rican feast. If a Saudi farts, does a hurricane descend on Mogadishu? I don't know why all Muslims believe that Allah brought Arabs to feed them and take care of them. 60 years ago the Saudis were behind Somalis technologically and socially. Somalis 50 years ago or 100 years ago or 200 years ago did not worship Saudis like Somalis do today. Somalis 100 years ago did not wait on Saudis to find food for them. Somalis 100 years ago did not wait for Saudis to rid them of cholera. You get the idea.IRONm@N wrote:Of course this isn't the way of our religion. the prophet scw and his Sahaaba use to sleep hungry while they tie their stomachs and here we have ppl baking a whole camel and putting it on a dish and than dumping the food. its excessive.

Its not f-king rocket science to grab a shovel and dig a well. 5 healthy men with shovels can dig 50 meters in a day even though you can find water at just 5 meters or less 99% of the time. Digging a well is not something you need to consult the Saudis with, you can do it yourself. Or more easily, you can walk to a river. I don't know why people in southern Somalia act retarded. In Kenya, nomads are having issues because the rivers they use are only seasonal and tend to dry up but they dug wells instead. In the dry northern and eastern regions of Somalia, people in Qardho had a brief worry because they dug up all their wells and could not find water for 40 meters - so they bought a larger drill and dug 60+ meters this time. But it seems like people in southern Somalia cannot put 1 and 1 together to save themselves. That's why I keep seeing retarded topics like this, because you guys populate this forum like rats. Would it be so hard for people in Lower Shabelle to walk to the river that their region is named after rather than dying on their long way to central Kenya? A man in Ethiopia was hit with bad rains one year----so he took a shovel and dug a 16 meter well, I wonder why 3 million troubled southern Somalis can't think of that.
Good night.

Re: Two Different Worlds
stop being superficial, there was 20yrs of war going on in South Somalia. ppl have no break between the cat and mouse fight between Alshabaab, TFG, Amisom, Ahlu Sunnah, Ethiopia and America, each one shelling the other with bombs and bullets. if they had peace and order do you think they will ask you for help?Monk-of-Mogadishu wrote:What does SAUDI ARABIAN excess have to do with AFRICAN shortages? second, Saudia is one of the richest Muslim countries in the world, in fact one of the richest countries in the world, and ppl starving are Muslims,so don't they have obligations? you beliebve in that Western attitude of why care about it, you looking through color glasses, and I'm looking through religion brotherhood.
third Somalis already did our best, Somali diasparo has collected millions and sent back, communities organized to build schools and make shift hospitals without the help of goverment or organizations. wells have also been dug. But at the end of the day, there is NO PEACE, and there is no goverment, jobs or safety nut for these ppl to survive when shit comes to shove.
Somalia is all the same, stop this North and South, or Muslims Arabs vs. Africans and saying everybody should fend for themselves, or this group is better than that.
I know all you care about is Puntland and always bragging about posting a stupid brick house built somewhere in Puntland like its some kind of a rocket science. think for a minute, that you can be like those ppl, you were lucky enough to come here, but you would have been starving like them.
How do you explain this. Saudi Oil king pin, giving Millions to mutli-million dollar American Hospital in Minnesota, while Mogadishu hospital is over crowded, under staffed, and don't even have beds for war casualities and malnutrition kids.

Saudi oil executive gives $10M to Mayo Clinic
Article by: JACKIE CROSBY , Star Tribune Updated: August 10, 2011 - 9:38 PM
A friendship forged between two boys -- one who became a doctor at the Mayo Clinic, the other a patient there -- has resulted in a $10 million gift for the world-renowned hospital based in Rochester, Minn.
Tarek Obaid, 35, of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, made the donation in his family's name to further the work of reconstructive transplantation surgery and to help victims of war and trauma, according to an announcement Wednesday by the Mayo Clinic.
Obaid is cofounder and CEO of PetroSaudi, a privately held oil exploration and production company. He said he was inspired by his experience as a patient and his childhood friendship with Samir Mardini, a facial reconstructive surgeon at Mayo.
The donation will establish the Essam and Dalal Obaid Center for Reconstructive Transplant Surgery, named for Obaid's parents. It also includes an honored scholar position named after his grandfather, Ahmad Obaid, an endowed program fund, and an operating fund named after the Obaid family.

Re: Two Different Worlds
Who cares how saudis break their fast, worry about your people how you can help them rather than trying to generalize Saudis. at the end of the day its something you have no control over, although you do have control over what you can do for your people.
