My dream career has finally taken fold...
So I recently joined MAC a branch and affiliate of the Muslim Brotherhood in my country, and have been engaging in discussion on how we can actively revitalize the ummah and bring back sharica.
I have been given a mission, that is to set the stage for islamic reform in Somalia, the Ikhwaan have recently encouraged me to establish a branch in Somalia, most likely Mogadishu. Now obviously I will need some assistance from the ikhwaan in order to spread our message, about islamic governance and reaffirming Allah law.
Now I think about this mission that was proposed to me and i am seriously considering going through with it. imagine that the first Ikhwaan establishment to follows teachings of Hassan Albani and Sayid Qutb in Somalia! My dream is to invite the more intelligent members of Al shabab and eliminate the ignorance and extremism that has detested many among you on this forum.
Ill be the first to admit that armed conflict has not furthered the movement and it is my personal mission to esablish such governance in a nonviolent matter.
Is my dream career realistic?

Although i consider you a extremist. It is also important that one fulfills what he desires and even more so if it is religious.
And since you discard violence, go at it

Alchemist,
Al Jihad Al Islaamiya has been deduct for a decade and no longer represent the views of their incubants. They also were not formerly tied with the real Ikhwaan, they were also armed.

yep... all my older relatives use that termAlchemist wrote:Muslim Brotherhood have been in Somalia for a long time but they go by the name Islaax over there.
grandpa, i encourage you to study history and look at how the old muslim governing structures of old functioned
You had a system of checks and balances. The problem with your movement is that you are too westernized. You believe Sharia must be used in a centralized state where there are no separations between the culema and the executive.
Saudi Arabia has centralized it so that sheikhs are on state payroll and answer to the royal family... its like this with other groups in the Muslim world. No accountability means that these rulers will buy fatwas. Culema/jurists must be able to check the power of the executive..
The concept of a nation state and its centralization is your problem and you are operating on that... along with your shabab sympathizers
I also don't think you all know what sharia is. Sharia isn't stoning people to adultery on hearsay or only huduud (which is important but there are standards and guidelines)
Somalis already implement most of it
Re: My dream career has finally taken fold...
No there is a group called Islaax in Somalia, especially in Xamar... Their Ikhwaan, i know this because i have family members who ascribe to them..grandpakhalif wrote:Alchemist,

Grandpa keep on studying bro you got time inshallah.. Learn arabic. Read the classical books and the later day scholars such as Albani, bin Baz and Uthymeen and you will be alright...
You have two groups here among the muslims.. One group are wadaads in suits who try so hard to fit in they will make everything xalaal..
And another group who dont use wisdom..
Stick to the quran and sunnah.

Fah, I know Sharia is already being implemented, the problem is that some so called muslims reject its emergence in the political arena and with legislation. Even matters of prayer, fasting financial dealings are Sahra but we cannot accept some and reject some. We must implement Islam in its entirety or we shall fail.
I understand where you come from by saying that there were islamic scholars who were separate from the ruling entity, this is of course a necessity. Al Shabab's current governing structure is problematic but anything can be reformed if education is available! You reject them on a few flaws while i see them as a prototype for a future evolved progressive governance, atleast the framework is there.
Alchemist, wow that. Make my job alot easier.

It's all good, you'll only support it for a few days anyway before you start campaigning against it (as usual)

What do all these trolls have in common....
The coward who warned me about my balls being capped by CSIS has the nerve to question my loyalty, la xawla...
The chronic masturbater who thinks having a beard is a Wahabbi trait..
And an anti Arab self proclaimed genealogy expert whose obsessed with Bantus...
Hmm..
