Why Do the Poorest and the Neediest Nations hava donate?
As humans we should've sympathy and feel the pain of the victims of Katrina, but what i don't get is these fuc-king poorest countries like Sri Lanka,Honduras, Guatemala and Jamaica and Indoneasia donating money to the one that boasts to be the richest and the most powerful Nation on the face of the earth?
Why don't the feed their people first?
.
World mobilises to aid US victims.
The US was considering dozens of offers of international assistance
More than 44 foreign governments and international organisations have offered aid to help with the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
.
Developing nations, normally recipients of US aid, offered to become donors, such as Honduras, Guatemala and Jamaica.
.
Singapore sent Chinook helicopters following a request by the US to Fort Polk, Louisiana, to help to ferry supplies and undertake airlift missions.
.
Sri Lanka said it was donating $25,000 (£13,500) to the American Red Cross, while Japan has pledged $200,000 and Australia, $8m (£4.3m), to the charity.
.
Cuba and Venezuela put aside their differences with the Bush administration to offer assistance.
.
-The US state department said all the offers were being examined.
.
President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela - a major oil exporting country - said he had offered to send cheap fuel.
-The state department has not decided whether to accept it.

they have to donate b/c they want to stay on the good side of the u.s government, god only knows that 2morrow any of these countries could suffer some type of disaster so the u.s. will obviously take into consideration who helped and who didn't. its all politics, they only give b/c eventually they want something back.

Bmaxx, i was watching Fox, one of their reporters shed tears for the victims. He was telling them to leave the squalid condition in which their government forced to dwell. People were dying , children were starving and crying, yet their callous government didn't raise one finger for them. It is sad , very sad , an atmosphere of grief, and source of no help.
But most of the American refugees were blacks , the Anglo-government don't want themmm.
Qatar,a fu-cking arab Country is Donating 100,000,000 USDollars to America?
Amazing!
I wonder how much USDollars gave to starving Muslims in Darfur,Niger,Aceh Indoneasia,Somalia or Chechnia?
Arabs are hyprocrits..remember after sep11 a Arab prince offered 10 millions to the families of the victimez, while they don't give fuck about muslims in Somali or Niger or Sudan or the muslims who suffered in the Tsunami... Saudis a gutless bastered who will do anything for rich ass America, but nothing for a fellow starving muslims..
Why not offer 10 million to the victimez of the Hurrican like they offered 10million to the victimez of Sep 11..

Moral support my ass. They are donating because they are scared of American. Kuwait, the 51st state of the U.S donated $2million to the tsunami relief efforts while giving america the richest country in the world $500 million..Most of the countries are donating because that's the only they can stay on the good side of america...The Screw said it well.
