Hargeisa's changing skyline

Hargeisa's skyline is changing big time There are multi storey buildings springing up everywhere and in particular the city centre. On the main high street where all the bacadlayaasha are and the emmediate vicinity I counted at least eight 5-8 storey buildings being contructed. The entire road is a contruction site. We are talking a stransformed skyline in 1-2 years.

Some of the buildings include the Daryeel HQ, Dahabshiil HQ, A couple of new hotels + commercial buildings. The shops that line the main high street are having 2nd or 3rd stories added. There is a also a new large multistorey hotel being constructed next to Hotel Ambassador that looks very similar, apprantly Ambassador is expanding. I give it 2 years and with some regulation of all the stalls + paved roads the centre should look half decent. Some examples:






There are also multi story buildings being constructed in Burco city centre. Berbera is also very impressive as there are a lot of newly paved roads and it is heaving with trade activity.

Thanks for the Info..... Burco city skyline has really changed since 2008 when i was there, that city was flat city with hardly any 2 story buildings, and now im watching ton of multystory building in the centre of the city, Burco has made a massive tranformation..... Hargeisa already has this tall building, but with the first picture that i saw wow we will see a new Hargeisa in the coming few years

This was the skyline a few years ago and since then many more multistorey buildings have been constructed. You can clearly see in the centre of thise pictures that Hargeisa is developing a skyline of sorts: These pics may be old and the city centre clearly does need a lot of work but I say give it a few years and it will look BANGING

lol im telling you waan yaabay at all the contructionn taking place when I was there. Burco is also seeing a fair bit of construction tbh and Berbera looks great with all the new roads and it is literally buzzing and heaving with activity.

I remember when this was the only multistorey building in Hargeisa back in the day

i was there this year berbera was far from being a ghost town like you it was buzzing with activities, burco had about five new multistory builds constructed, ceerigabo two, and hargeisa too many to count
