It says in the Noble Quran that the EARTH is flat, and Allah created the Mountains to stabilize it, so it won't shake violently with Earthquakes due to instability.

Science don't want to prove this, because....almost 95% of everything the Quran has spoken about, regarding Science has been confirmed, mind you, the Prophet back in 1400 years ago wasn't able to read or write, let alone have a Telescope to look into the Stars or Microscope to look into Cells or Atoms.

As a matter of fact, sister KOW is right if you've read the Quran in the original Arabic.

The English translation is rife with misinterpretations, there's a passage which states unequivocally that the Earth is flat. This thread wasn't made to debate this fact, as far as I'm concerned, if the Quran says it, it is so. Any Muslim should agree.

My derision was aimed at Bin Baz's zealotry. To make takfir over something which simple Da'wah can fix is ridiculous.

Actually,bin Baz made a mistake and soon realized it,one of his relatives who was an astronaut and worked for NASA convinced him that he saw the earth rotating when he was on a space shuttle.the book is banned.The Quran doesnt say the earth is flat.

The fatwa does exist. Ben Bazz later retracted it after he was condemned and ridiculed worldwide, even among the Saudis.
