I know man, what the hell is going on? 5 years ago, one square block of Gaalkacyo had more multistory buildings than Garowe and now Gaalkacyo can't even build hotels 1/4 the size of those in Garowe.

More and more people are moving and investing in Garowe. My mom just purchased a land in Garowe ( so has 3 of my aunties). Galkaacyo needs to build a wall separating humans from sub humans so people don't feel the need to move to get away from the smell of .............

I welcome this trend Monk. Galkacyo has a limited business potential and people with ambition picked up on that. Galkacyo derives its importance as the unofficial capital of Central Somalia, a lot of trade between Puntland, Southern regions and Somali Region of Ethiopia goes on there, a decent population for a Somali town (market) etc. That is it, nothing more.

Compare that to Bosaso, a Somali city on steroids, ex-village competing with Xamar and Hargeisa out of nowhere like wtf? There's less qabiil talk in Bosaso and more money talk, it's a buzzing city on the move where to this day there's still an increasing demand for construction workers, service employees etc.

It was the de facto seat of the PL government, till it was decided a few years ago that Garowe will receive a special budget and program to give it extra attention as the capital city of Puntland, which has started long ago and spearheaded by Farole. The plan is that Garowe will grow enormously in the future. So basically this is why Bosaso and Garowe garner more investments than Galkacyo and why they're moving forward each year and Galkacyo is lagging behind. Even the pirates stay away from Galkacyo and invest in Bosaso and Garowe, when they're not buying up property in Nairobi.

AGREE 100% GALKACYO AND MUDUG HAVE SO MUCH POTENTIAL, BUT THE SOUTHIES ARE FOCKING IT UP KILLING AND RAPING INNOCENT PEOPLE!
