What the US government thinks about Faroole

Post by Voltage »

From Wikileaks cable, US government thinks that Faroole

-is destroying Puntland and put it in downward trajectory
-eroding the integrity of Puntland state institutions
-is "rigid" and counterproductive
-"good technocrat but bad politician"
-thinks of using the increase in violence to get more support without realizing US/world know violence is caused by clan and political tension caused by Faroole
-is largely the reason Al Shabaab has stepped up operations in Puntland

Faroole reminds me of my childhood days.I used to pray sunnah and never pray the actual obligatory prayers. All he does is cry for hosting the reconciliation conference (a futile conference) and neglect his actual duties of enforcing security.Heck,he even managed to accuse SSC of being the engine behind Galkacayo's instability at some point :| .No one takes him seriously, certainly not the Americans.

Who gives a fok what the US government thinks. The deteriorated security is caused by our two political priorities: 1) drilling oil to get that cash money to invest in our future political hegemony 2) Secure a solid position in the next peace conference for a new transitional federal government for our future political hegemony. That's why we don't give a fok about SSC or a few thugs and terrorists on the loose, we have our eyes on the bigger prize; taking back what was robbed from us in 21st of october 1969.

Understood.

Since You're secure enough to answer questions from shisheeye without feeling threatned, are there paved roads in Puntland cities i.e Bossaso/Garowe/Galkacyo other than the North South road? Is it like 50% paved 50% unpaved? I'm just curious about this question but nobody here will answer it.

Faroole will have a new conference soon in his Office in Garoowe. He will talk about how he will bring somlis together when U.N decided the conference of reconciliation will be held in Puntland. As far as Galkacyo conflict. It was just minor incident no bigger deal. it was small group of terrorist and we wipe out. he will said that.

Faroole ambition is bigger than two militia fighting in Galkacyo.
He want to conference of reconciliation in Puntland. That is the priority...

Faroole doesn't give a rat's ass about Puntland, Majerten, or even Ciise Maxmuud. He only cares about becoming the next Somali president and then retiring outside of mad max Somalia as all the other Somali "politicians" have done starting from Cali Mahdi, to Hussein Aydiid, to Abdiqasim, to Abdullahi Yusuf, to Cadde Muuse, to even Dahir Riyaale. Whether national or federal, they all leave the country once they taste the top of their supposed field. Too bad the people he hopes to throne him think of him this way.

Majeerteen iyo Marexaan maxa kala haysto :|

Back to the topic, as others mentioned maxa inaga shan iyo fifteen ah what the US thinks?. See, the US is looking after its own interests first and foremost so its opinion on foriegn affairs or politics should be taken with a pinch of salt. We cannot trust everything that Uncle Sam says can we? It would be nice, but we can't after it has been clear that it would like to keep Somalia as it is in the current status quo and as long as Somalia does not interfere with its business what with Somalia having a vital strategic location with the Indian Ocean on the one side and the Gulf of Aden (with the Red Sea) on the other....its all good..
