This dark skin v light skin is not something deeply ingrained in our society. We dont have that problem. And PLEASE let it stay that way. We are not African Americans [no disrespect to them].

i'm not to fussy when it comes to skin tone. I don't discriminate against lighties, caramels or brownies but one thing i will say is that its a lot easier for a light skin girl to be precieved as good looking.

Even guys like K'naan and Iman [before all the bleaching] are dark skinned.

in that case 99% of somalis back home are dark skinned and also a lot here are the same skin tone as the first girl (including myself)
