yap zingii.
He says, a teacher ask a grade 3 child, if your father borrows a thousand shillings from a bank and another thousand from a neighbor, who much is gonna pay? the kid say nothing, he ask again, and he says nothing, the teacher now mad, tell the kid sit down you know no math. The lil dude says sorry I know math but you don't know my father, he doesn't pay any of his debts...kinda looses its taste in English, but Swales Swahili makes it interesting!

Zingi,

Ima try to translate it to the best of my ability

TEACHER Vs STUDENT

Teacher: If you father borrows 1000 from the bank and 1000 from the neighbour, how much money does he pay back?
student: Nothing
Teacher: I said if he borrows 1000 from the bank and 1000 from the neighbour, how much money will he pay back in total
Student: nothing
Teacher: Don't you know how to count?
Studen: I know how to count but you don't kno my father. he never pays back anything

The student was focusing on his father and how he don't pay back. The teacher was looking how much is the total?
That confusion always is in the somali political.
