If you think so, please contribute a photo and help us choose the 12 most picturesque views from around the world to go into our next calendar.
This could be your chance to show the world how beautiful your home town is. This competition is open to everyone. Entries are welcome from all Somali.
If your photo is one of the chosen 12, your name will appear on the photo along with the name of your home town. Our calendars will be distributed to our clients, staff and many other carefully chosen recipients, and they will also be available to view and download from our website.
You can send as many entries as you like, but your photos must comply with the following specifications:
Photo format: TIFF or JPEG
Size: at least 1 MB and minimum 300 dpi.
Content Rules:
1. You can contribute any scenery of your home town taken by you, a friend or member of your family. You must not send professional photos, taken by photographers, agencies etc. Any stock photos received with copyright will be disqualified.
2. We are looking for beautiful and interesting views of your home town but you can also send photos which include you or other people. It can be your favourite view of the town square, a seaside or a mountain view, or the street in which you were born.
3. You must ensure your photos are clear, free from any enhancements (no Photoshop editing) or picture effects.
4. Your photos must not contain any advertisements or messages. Your photos must not be endorsing any political or religious opinion and they must be suitable for under 18s to view.

It could be either (but preferable back home).
This calendar is basically produced for the company that I work for and they are holding this competition. It would be nice if I managed to propose good pictures of Somali landscapes, buildings, streets etc which could end up being published on our company calendar.

Not many people can get pictures that they took from back home as for where i am, it aint gona win best looking city anytime soon, but am gona try to capture "multiculturalism"

Great idea. However, I believe you should only allow entries from back home because we already have picturesque images from the west. It would be great to have a calendar showcasing ONLY Somali towns, and I'm sure many would be interested in them. There are many images in Flickr and Picasa as well; so you could contact their respective owners.
