this is the whole quote:
Truly, outside this cyber forum. I'm very tribalist but also nationalist I'm being honest, I respect my Marehan friends more than my other friends. I feel relaxed when I'm around my Marehan friends or relatives.
But I'm also nationalist, I get happy during 1st July, I get happy when I see a Somali in the Bus, Train, Library etc. I rep my country and I love my capital city.

lol i dont know what you think of or what is in your heart but i would think you prefer to be around people who you share common things with you, hence the qabiil. i swear i never heard young people talk about somali leave alone qabiil. they distance themselves from other somalis.
i dont even know people i know their qabiil. for me people are two groups: waryaat and eyaal aseer. and i feel i have more in common with eyaal aseer. waryaat are fresh somalis who are loud and talk too much.

Ximan, you respect and trust your Marexaan friends more than your other friends? How does that work? some of my bestfriends are Haber Gidir, and I would trust them with my life.
Shit I must be tribalist. But wallahi I'm also nationalist

Thats even bad for a tribalist, its beyond tribalist, you must be a hard core tribalist to be like that. Some people are you friends and they go beyond qabiil, they will help you out when you are in trouble, and you will help them out when they are in trouble.XimanJaale wrote:Xamud. wrote:![]()

I don't know, I just feel more relaxed around them. I trust my non-Marehan friends but I don't respect them so much. For instance if something good happens to my Marehan friends I get super happy but when something good happens to my non-Marehan friends I don't feel anything, no happy buz.
I just say congrats wateva.

I dont even have that many homboys from my clan, 2 or 3 at most, and I chill with them everynow and then.
My facebook friends on the other hand is a different story

With my Marehan friends we have more things to discuss. But the non-Marehan we talk about usual stuff (boring stuff).
60% of my friend are Marehan (variety marehan sub-clans)
30% Hawiye
5% other Daaroods
2% Isaaq
2% minority clans
1% Raxanweyn

emp, i agree with you. never teach them and tell others to not teach your kids their qabiil. not knowing is the best. even better if they deny somalinimo
