why are Majeerteen and Sacad Muse so different from other Somalis?
Walaahi these two subclans stand head and shoulders above the rest, in terms of political and economical ambition as well as for their love of their people and lands. These two sub clans' acheivements in politics, education, wealth and state building is incomparable to other somali clans.
I sometimes think if these two sub clans of Darood and Isaaq teamed up the Somali name and lands would be unrivaled.

please contribute your thoughts in a an orderly, respectful manner. Thanks in advance.

People who live in harsher environments tend to be more intelligent (e.g. Norwegians vs Congolese).

I'm insulted at the comparison cuz it's not fair...even a Majeerteen/Habar Awal comparison is extremely unfair. Majeerteen being compared alongside Isaaq as a whole is still a bit unfair to us but I'm willing to live with.

But yeah....NO!

We're competing with Somaliland, last time I checked Somaliland is made up of an entire tribe + a clan in Awdal.

Cinque is actually right, Majerteen and Isaaq are roughly the same size.

Monk you seem to have alot of respect for uncle sam would not you appriciate his estimation about somali clans populations that says isaaq is 22% while daarood is 20% :D god bless the cia for passing the ammunitions to puntland security forces and giving accurate estimations about the size of somali clans

Actually Monk that is not true the source you posted does not mention
Habr garhajis Arab Ciidagalle and Ishaak Clans
Habarjeclo or the habartoljaalo
the Habaryunis

Your source only mentions Habr awal, you do know Habr awal and Garhajis are roughly the same size along with Habr toljaalo add it all up now

the source does also not include the habar awals in the Abyssinian territories

What are you talking about when HY or HA population alone can outnumber Dhibicyar oo Majiraan ah

HY from my source: 130,000 - HY outnumber Majiraan

HA from my source (SEE BELOW CHART); 130,000 - HA outnumber Majiraan

Majiraan from your source, Monk: 104,000

Barkhad, you brain dead idiot - your source is from the 1950s, mine is from 1890. Even in 1950 some qaldaan clans were smaller than the Majerteen population of 1890.

Emperior - Habar Yunis and Habar Awal are the same size, so in 1890 both of them combined would still be 4,000 less than Majerteen. ---Habar Jeclo are 30% less than those guys so they would be around 35,000 in 1890. What's left? Carab, Ayoub, and Ciidagale? ---I take it back then, I guess Harti = Isaaq size-wise, which is more accurate.
