Students from Caabudwaaq treated badly by Puntland

Post by XimanJaale »

Recently the Turkish government have decided to take students from Somalia to their country for free university level education. The Somali government has asked Puntland and Galmudug to allow students from CENTRAL SOMALIA to take part in a Turkish organised examination in Gaalkacyo.

Some students from Caabudwaaq travelled all the way to Gaalkacyo to take part, seeing that they are Daarood, they joined the Puntland side. They took part in the exams, however during the result day. The Puntland education minister rejected that students from Caabudwaaq can take part, in front of the result ceremony. (subxannallah). <<You can watch this incident on Universal TV & Somali channel news edition.

The parents of the Caabudwaaq complained to TFG, then TFG told them to take part in the Galmudug part of the examination. They went to Galmudug and were welcomed by open hands. The Turkish that were organizing for Puntland, were in shock.

This incident shows that some parts of Somalia are not ready for Somalinimo.

(Puntland are still acting like a bitch).

Its sad that we Mareexaans have taken part in bringing peace between Leelkase and Majerteen fight, and at the same time Mareexaan students are being treated like shit by Puntland. Any Mareexaan reading this thread, I'm telling you forget about Daaroodnimo and I'm telling the Mareexaans in central Somalia, do not help Puntland anymore :!:

Puntland and Mareexaan have nothing to do with each other. At least the galmudug hutu I can claim as grandmothers and neighbors, but these puntland pirates are as somalidiid and despicable as the leaf chewing iddor.

Yes. they did solve the issue. The Mareexaans students got welcomed by Hawiye (Galmudug) and got rejected by their fellow Daarood (Puntland). Its a shame that the Turkish had to witness this disgusting behaviour

You sound emotional, why should beesha SADE in the first place rely on Puntland or Galdamudug, basically be on the receiving end? Both entities would obviously cater to their own interest first before any one else. Simple logic, now the initial problem comes from the TFG who made the original mistake and that's who should have been addressed.

Your an idiot. The Turkish do not have the facility to go to every town in Somalia. The Somali government has asked Puntland and Galmudug to allow the Turkish organise the examination in Gaalkacyo as its in CENTRAL SOMALIA.

In south Somalia, the examination took part in Mogadisho.

The free education from Turkey is not for Puntland and Galmdudg but for all Somalis. :!:

Doesn't make sense to me. The scholarships are from the Turks and from what the article said the Turks presided over the event which was for "Somali students". I doubt the Turks care what region the kids taking the tests and being scored are from as long as they are "Somalis". I don't know how the Puntland minister or any Somali national can dictate that which doesn't belong to him and was being presided over by the people who were giving it in the first place.

To conclude, though I will not say this did not happen, I will say I highly doubt it happened as of now.

I don't believe this , but assuming it's true , could it have anything to do with the quotas allocated to the different regions or part of Galkacayo ?
Let's say Puntland is hypothetically given 50 seats and Galmudug 50 . what region is bigger ? how many subclans have to be squeezed in the calculation on Puntland's part as opposed to Galmudug ?
It is always easier to cry foul and blame somebody else , but can anyone in shed a light on that?

You can watch and listen to this incident on Universal TV and Somali channel. Even the news reporter was disgusted at the way the guy spoke.

Afcourse no Somali can dictate who can take part and who can't, however they have power to corrupt the examination by destroying their exams papers. At the end of the day the examination is happening in Somalia and not in Turkey, so the Somalis can easily influence on this process. They can give the Turkish examination organiser any excuse.

Since I am assuming you have watched the Universal segment, do you have a link to? I am highly suspicious about the credibility of this piece as of now.
