borame is mountainous, it makes sense that it might snow there. it even snows in parts of south africa.

That is not snow...it is hail i.e. chunks of ice,
quite common in the rainy season in the west of Somaliland.

Hail is not something to be very happy about because I've heard it can be deadly, especially if a big one hits you.
