A new $100 bill revealed Tuesday in St. John's has tougher security and is made of tougher material, according to the Bank of Canada.
The new bill, which made its Newfoundland and Labrador debut at RCMP headquarters, is made of polymer and features several holograms and a see-through portion.
"The new series is part of a broader strategy to infuse our currency with leading edge security while working with our partners to prevent and deter counterfeiting," said Bank of Canada representative Monique LeBlanc.

I felt a little "borden" so I thought I'd share.
So far it's only the 50 and 100 in production. What's my take of this? Personally I feel FIAT currencies are a sham and further production of bank notes only deterriorate their assumed values. However, plastic money sounds pretty damn cool
