Dahabshil and Telecom Somalia

Offices of the largest money transfer agency “Dahabshil” and Telecommunication companies, Telcom Somalia and Nationlink were shut down by Shabab forces this morning, reports said.

Reports indicate that Al-Shabab ordered those companies to pay each an amount $130,000 dollar as what they called ZAKAAT ‘alms’.
