Well if you just plainly say that then it isn't a joke, it's that "oh I get it" spark without entailing it that makes it funny.

But that is the point of the joke. She's got 2 black eyes because you've punched her twice and she should understand what you wanted in the first place before you had to punch her for her to get it.
