S Korea hopes to reunite with North
Government in Seoul has launched an online programme to promote reunification amid heightened tension.

More than fifty years after Korea split in two, South Korea wants to reunite with the communist North, despite the peninsula's bitter history.

The government in Seoul has launched an online programme to promote reunification.

However, talks over the North's nuclear programme remain stalled and tensions between the two Koreas have rarely been higher.

Al Jazeera's Steve Chao reports from the South Korean capital, Seoul.

Actually Kim Jong-il has already planned out his successor, so unless the people revolt (which from my understanding isn't likely going to happen anytime soon), North Korea will be under the same powers for decades to come.
