Why do African Americans overwhelmingly vote Democrat?

Considering the history of the Democratic party.

I'm not American so this doesn't affect me either way, but I'm just curious.

The question is, why havent blacks created their own political party after 400 years of slavery & discrimination.

I can tell you why. But the answer is considered racist, So i dont want any backlash from any mod.

From my understanding most Black Americans are conservative by nature, and many them are Church goers and pray to Jesus Christ, peace be upon him, and the Republicans are the religious party, whilst the Dems are the anti-religion party.

Also, the Democratic Party has an ugly history in regards to black people.

In the mid 1800s, blacks identified with the Republicans because there existed radicals in the party that wanted to abolish slavery and give blacks their rights. The racist south was democratic and then started to implement black codes that would not be against the constitutional amendments but would still limit the blacks in the most subtle of ways.

The reason they switched to democratic was because of Franklin Roosevelt and the programs he implemented with the New Deal. That gave economic relief to the minorities among other executive orders that FDR performed for more equality for blacks in the military and other things...

then you compound that with Kennedy/Johnson supporting the civil rights movement as well... then you got the AAs on the blue team

The same reason why most rich blacks vote democrats; they feel more appealed to vote for whatever the rest of their people are voting for, I mean honestly some of these rednecks don't give an eff nor have a clue what the democrat candidate might have to offer, to them the lefties are evil people that are ruining the country, point blank.

But todays African Americans are mostly conservative people Even poor white conservatives vote Republican. I just don't get black's extreme loyalty to the Democratic party.

Both parties are pro-establishment anyway and both parties want the status quo to remain the same.

Most AAs ae conservative by nature but the thing is, the democratic party was the one that had a sitting president sign the civil rights act, sign the voting rights act, and end jim crow in the south.

The republican party became the party that was/is white, conservative, and less open to minority groups... the south became republican and still is today..

African Americans... most of them 70+% do not want to share a party with people that hold the confederate flag or want to cut off social programs or want to cut off affirmative action...
