If you enjoy Kubrick, I think you'll love this.
Frakin' Gosling. I don't know how he did this and Crazy, Stupid, Love in the same year. I'm afraid audiences will be Gosling'd out by the end of 2012, with all the movies he's been in recently. Oh well.
The entire feel of this movie was, perfect. I would've changed one of the actors, but still wonderful. Even the 80s feel to it, from the soundtrack down to the intro font, wonderful. Going into my favs. And the unexpected action? Dear God.
- UselessAlternative, Youtube.I think more people need to understand the context of the title. It's not just a movie about a driver, or his work, or his relationship with cars...it's about what Drives him. His motivation for life and living, and what he'd do to save it and keep it safe. Beautiful, well directed, superb acting, shocking, romantic and most of all...unexpected.
I think that sums it up.
