The only faction in the near-future with a chance to preside over Kismayo are Ogaden. They bet on the right horse (Kenya, China, whoever) and won big time. As much as Ogaden play retarded politics inside Somalia and Ethiopia, they have their deck stacked in Kenya, much better than anyone has their deck stacked anywhere in Somaliweyn outside of Somalia and Djibouti.
My father always said, "The Ogaden in Galbeed are brave but retarded, the Ogaden in Kenya are jaajuus but they do it right." While everyone had their eyes focused on the cagdheers in Kambooni and Qabridahare, the ones in Kikuyustan were quietly plotting a contingency plan.
