Now we know Somaliland as it stands today; a self-declared pipe dream of a national state, won't be getting recognition anytime soon, however, is there or would there be any law in the autonomous region that prohibits a certain clan or people of becoming a citizen or are you welcome to the idea of letting your fellow Muslim ethnic brothers and sisters into the country beyond just the refugee status? I'm assuming at the moment anyone that has money can buy a passport (or whatever you guys use to identify yourselves as separate from the nation). The reason for the question is simple put this; if worse comes to worse and you guys do get your land to your owns, does qabiil really matter in determining who becomes an SLer, whether he's proud of it or not? so for example you might have an American passport but if your proud of being one you need a medical check up, we could argue the same case for a Harti Darod fellow or any other people not from the region.

Somaliland citizenship card is only for the indigenous natives of the Country there are people who are registered as people who have a stay Licence in the country and work and live in the country but Citizenship is not given away in the republic.
