How do you say the colour blue in Somali?

is there a somali word for blue? I know somali say bluug when refering to this colour but isnt that a butchered way of saying blue?

The old way was madow. After the British it became baluug. Where did bluug come from?

madow? isnt that black


in amxaara : samayaawi = blue and litraly it means like the sky, so perhaps samada-u-eeg could be the word(s) for blue in somali
