This is a massive threat to the Somali people of the Somali peninsula we are cornered by the HIV epedemic and this is another thing we have to deal with

Especially as we have thousands of potential HIV incumbators ivading our country. If you look at the map Kenya, Burundi and Uganda are amoung the countries with the higest HIV!

Certain regions of Ethiopia have disproportionately high levels of HIV. For example the Gambella and southern/south western regions i.e. those neighbouring South-sudan/Kenya.

If I'm not mistaken, Ethiopia has the third highest number of people living with HIV/AIDS in Africa, regardless of percentage numbers.
I personally think the AIDS numbers in Somalia are only low because of the lack of testing in most areas. Coupled with Somali people's penchant for polygamy, the presence of so many Bantus who are statistically likely to be HIV+, and relatively high divorce/remarriage rates, this could be a big f-king problem.

The only reason why its so low in the first place is because of the lack of testing in Somalia, every now and then i come arross and read articles with stories of infected Somalis, and these cases usually come from common folks with families and not prostitutes.
