I heard this when I was younger can't remember but I think it was a hadith. Ever since I make sure to check the bed sheets no matter how clean. Well it finally paid off the other night. I came home tired, took a look and there was this lizard or that animal from geico insurance commercial on my bed. My paranoia was worth it.

Yes it was a hadith about how the Prophet saw would use a cloth to dust his bed, hitting it 3 times. This way you can make sure there are no tiny insects/bugs before you sleep on it.

you should have mentioned you live in Kenya in the first paragraph because i didn't know what to say and could have saved some valuable time for me.

under similar conditions, i would definitely check not only under my pillow but also the whole room.

i went to Kenya last year and it was very bad. it is a dirty place with no proper sewage and draining system. expect anything from such unsanitary place.

but alx i currently live in the states and i am less worried about that for now.
