Ethiopia's policy towards Somalia is motivated primarily by its fear of Somalia becoming a safe-haven for ONLF, such a situation would be disastrous.Galgadud has always been a region which has had cordial relations with ONLF but this is set to change with Addis ababa's proxy running the show.This will not effect the war in the Ogaden in a major way ONLF has made the strategic shift from past liberation forces who were firmly reliant on Somalia for all there needs.

ahlul sufa wal zenawah made a big mistake there, i don't think they can battle alshabaab on 1 side and ONLF on the other. Those 2 groups have a common enemy therefore they should co ordinate attacks on ahlul sufa wal kilbiyun no matter their differences.
