Is it just me or does the Sudanese style of Quranic recitation sound very much the same as the Somali style?

What do you guys think? Please listen and comment.

P.S They are also even doing the Somali style of Subcis, read a verse or 2 and then another recitor continues from where he left of.

it's because of the Style of reciting, All east african Horners recite similar to each other, I think it could be because of the Sufi Influence over the ages or simply the Mazhab the majority of Horners Follow the Shafi Mazhab and the influence of the Imams and Shiekhs. Check out part of indonesia reciting if you couldn't see who is reciting you could swore the person is also a horner.

In Yemen a few months ago some government minister passed away so their tv channel aired Qur'an on for three days straight. I was quite surprised because they were reciting in a style almost identical to the east african one.

Awdalprince,
I have been looking for how could I get information about a sudanese quran reciter (not the one you have posted); an older man who sounds like old school somali quran reciter; a man with a thick voice.
Judging by his voice he must be a black man.

Could you or anyone out there help me?

Walaahi, the only quran that I listen to is recited by that man; I had some cassettes by him but I have lost them after relocation.

Lama, are you sure he's Sudani? Because the sheikhs who use to tape cassettes were usually Egyptians and a couple of Saudis

Al-Zain (2:35) is my favorite reciter. I have been listening to his recitations for the past few years.
