Well, if you read the books, you would know that Lisbeth has a growing list on people , she wants to take revenge. Like the men who hate women.

fyi that's the original title of the book in Swedish.

Seemeyer her tattoo is only mentioned like three times; first one was describing her appearance and that along with others were mentioned, another time by one of the characters who slept with her noticed it, and lastly it was her attempting to cover all her tattoes with make to go in a disguise.

I think they chose that title as an analogy to draw to her uniqueness. but her tattoo has no relevance in the story and could of chosen wasp which she has a tattoo and has actual relevance to the story. Another thing is that as you read the book it is not clear that she is the main character but she shares it with another character who it is really about. The only reason they named the book after her was because at certain times the book alludes to lisbeth's dark past that is not revealed which leaves her story unfinished yet or there is going to be more books about her. I think that the author when he wrote this book did not actually intend to write a trilogy or make it about lisbeth at all. My theory is that as he wrote the book, he found the character lisbeth so appealing that he deliberately hid the dark parts of her past and create a desire to for the reader to want to know about her, so that he would have an excuse to write about her.

Lisabeth Salander; the half autistic lady.

Did you know that
a) the author of the book(s) died of a heart attack before he became famous.
b) the author worked in an anti-racism paper
c) He was a communist who fought alongside Ethiopia in the Ogaden war
d) That there is an ongoing dispute between his girlfriend and his family as regards inheritance.

I was told all the above by a Swede I met at a party
