My brothers and sisters , I today think that the international community in regards to all things relating with Somalis only intervene or show up where there's a problem . You see the "white man" in all his sense of superiority sees us as people who can't get their shi.t together without his help. He would rather do something for our subdued neighbours or our belligerent brothers than actually listen /hear what we're saying . There has never been any pirates from our region , the terrorists do not operate in somaliland and we are not christian. We're doomed
I'm not really saying we should start any trouble , but we're stuck .
The Southerners do not want to come under a Somaliland leadership , Somalilanders do not want to be associated with the mess Somalia has become , Puntland is neither under TFG rule nor on its own , bal maxaa talo ah ?

i don't think we Somalilanders even want to rule Somalia so its not about we want them to come under our leadership well we need to lobby more for our cause but we should also look towards the east and other Countries not just the west use both the west and the east Somaliland just looks at the EU and the US but we should also look the other direction india China Russia perhaps even iran

We should continue what we are doing condemn piracy fight against piracy and fight against terrorism.

If you change alliances too quickly ( and you've done that) other countries will see you as flip floppers and even to some extend desperate. Not a smart move

I don't get why is recognition 'the be all and end all' with you. If we get it then hooray and if we don't then bugger. We all know the only way to get it is to sit down with somalia (whoever is leading it at the time) there's no point asking it from anyone else - unless you have vast resources of oil then the US/Europe doesn't give two hoots.

Abdallah 11 , waa iska Puntlander yara wareersan
marna waxaad tidhi
It wouldn't work, but i think these two regions should work together as two seperate entities. SL is ahead of PL in terms of democracy and governance and PL has a much superior economy and better foreign relationships with other countries

So you can seek "better foreign relationships" laakin anigu I have to "mid uun inaan kala doorto " ya ?
Better economy inay puntland leedahay , xaggeed ka keentay ?
ma shidaalka aan weli idiin soo bixin , oo aanad weli iib gayn , baa intaad xisaabsanayso ina leedahay , waan idin ka lacag badanahay ?

LOL How's that faan? I mentioned your strongest points which are democracy and good governance. As for PL foreign relationships, it has had a huge boast under Faroole. Even your own cousin gurey mentioned that PL has basically a monopoly when it comes to Somali-Arab political relationship. The fact that majority of SL businessmen use Bosaso port instead of Berbera should indicate who has superior economy.
Anigu kuma oran dont seek the support of other countries, but you have to have a good relationship with country A before you go to country B, dont run like a headless chicken. It takes time to have a good relationship with another country, once thats sealed move on to the next one. Thats all i am saying
Testimony from your cousin

For years the relationship with the arab countries has been monopolized by Puntland, forget about the TFG, Puntland alone had more influence than any TFG government since the carta government..

African countries is the key they don't need our resources we need african countries we need to convince them the same way the western sahara did in 1984

think about what is in it for them, except for more headaches from within their own countries. How can they support SL recognition and ignore those within their own countries i.e. nigeria
Xamar is the answer my friend

Xamar will never agree with Somalilands recognition the only thing that unites them (Koonfurians) is that Somaliland must come under Xamar i will not count on them/ Cumar there are many African states that can break the ice we just need an ice breaker.
