I have noticed that the Mataano fashion company, that looks to have a bright future ahead, has now started using Somali models such as Fatima Said and Cici ali (recently reported by tightrope). It is good to see them supporting eachother in their endeavours.
Good for them. help a sister out and promote their company where you can. They are going to do really well for themselved and
we need more positive stories in the Somalis diaspora community. Hopefully we shall see more over the next few years as the diaspora kids reach the professions
They now have a website too:

^ Thats the spirit.
---
They have been working hard and even Iman has been supporting them:
TR: How has the economy affected your line?
IM: It's been difficult, but it makes us work that much harder. We have to hustle. It's building character for us and helping us realize that nothing is achieved easily. When the recession's over, we'll come out on top because we'll have known how to deal with adversity.
AM: We've also learned how to be smart by teaming up with Iman Cosmetics, for example, and people who can help and support us to get to where we want to go.
---
I foresee a Somali corporations and CEO's network.

They have started selling through hotels now

I wonder if they have signed any exclusivity contracts
Shop Mataano at the following W Hotel Stores:
W Scottsdale – W Hollywood – W Fort Lauderdale – W South Beach – W Chicago – Lakeshore
W New York – W New York – Times Square – W Retreat & Spa – Vieques Island – W Barcelona
Or online at the W Hotels The Store website:
Their products are not available on the W Hotels website so perhaps the contract did not last.

if it's haram for a women to dress un-appropriately do you really think the person making these clothes gets away with it scott-free? It's like saying I don't drink but I sell it.
You just made a great thread, take a look at #34

Models and semi naked women in a mixed gathering or a male audience yes that may possibly be haram. Clothes theselves are not haram but the person wearing them (a) where is he/she wearing them and (b) who is there to see.
