How to learn the Somali language???!

I'm English and really need to learn the Somali language because I have a friend at my university who is Somali and she can't speak fluent English. So I want to communicate with her by talking Somali.

Does anyone know how I can learn the Somali language (websites, translators etc)? If you don't know any it would be a big help if you could show me how to say simple words in Somali like 'Hello', 'Goodbye' etc.
