The cyclist and the homeless man. . .

Post by DisplacedDiraac »

A couple of hours ago as I was waiting at a bus stop.. A cyclist approached and sat next to a homeless man who happened to be sitting near my bus stop and started a conversation with him.. Which quickly changed to the homeless guy's background.. At the end of their 5 or so minute long discussion the cyclist gave the homeless fella a bag, which contained brand new trainers and also handed over a £10 note a believe.. :|
Surprisingly the homeless guy refused to take the money.. But after a little battle of 'take the cash' and 'No, that's too much'.. The homeless man gave in and pocketed the money and started crying, tears and all..
The two men bear hugged for like a minute.. bless, whilst the homeless guy continued praising his kindness and sliding on his new shoes.

Even though the homeless guy was wearing shoes which were missing the front parts and much more I guess.. I still cant believe the cyclist went into a shoe store and brought the homeless guy a new pair of shoes..
What a Beautiful man..

People like that are very rare these days.

Good on the cyclist & may the homeless guy get somewhere he can call home and a decent life.
