Muslims divorce rate Is Alarming. Everybody is using the excuse that, Divorce is halal and allah permitted. So what? We should exploit divorce to the fullest? The latest research showed that, In every 10 Somalis who gets married either in the west or back home, 5 would be divorced within 5 years period. Christians take long time to get married but when they do, 80% stay married till death takes them apart.

Who are the Christians you are referring to? Divorce rates have been rising for decades in North America( probably the same in Europe). I'd assume people who identify as religious are more likely to be married longer and I think that is the same for both Christians and Muslims. The divide is usually between people who aren't religious at all and otherwise, as opposed to between different religions.

Also I think back home, Somalis are less likely to divorce it is not as common as it is in the West. In the latter, I believe it has to do with women being less dependent on their men and therefore not feeling the necessity of forbearance...asks for a divorce.Also back home the dynamics are completely different you even have the tribes involved, if anything happens to the wife he's a goner They play a very important role in resolving differences.

Sweden leads the divorce rate in the West (54.9%), followed by the US (54.8%). India has the lowest rate, by far, at 1.1%.

I don't see China and a lot of other countries in this data.

Maldive is a small place with 70,000 people, had the British controlling that since the late 1970s, and the whole economy is placed on tourism. Their entire GDP is 400 Million dollars. They can hardly be a representative of the main Muslim umma. Despite being a Muslim majority islands, the British rule has been in that place for centuries.

When people wants to discuss the Muslims, they need to talk about stable and major Muslim countries like Iran, Pakistan, Malaysia, Idonesia, Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Muslim majority countries Nigeria and other places, and look at the divorce rate in those countries. When you compare the divorce rates of those Muslim nations and compare them with the divorce rate of the Christendom, you would notice the Christian world has a higher percentage rate of divorce. I mean that is not open for debate

These UN stats have the highest divorce rates in the world mostly in Eastern Europe, but the U.S. is in there at 5. Nice try
