How tolerant and hospitable are you? Ever had guests stay for more than a year , if yes, how did you 'cope'?

Re: House Guests
I think u need to change their status from a guest.Guests dont stay forever.
The longest i had one was 3 months.I kinda laid out the rules after the 3rd week of being the perfect host.

I ignore them, generally. Avoid speaking, eye contact, and being in the same room. If possible, avoid being awake at the same time. Thankfully, I've only once had the burden of a guest.
May have the experience of being a guest very soon. I will let you know how that turns out.

Re: House Guests
I've had tooo many over the years.. Im always overly nice for the first few days.. After that I go into hiding..
We once had this 'guest' stay for like 2 months straight *for the whole winter*.. Funny thing was he lived in the same city as us and it seemed like he just moved in, without us noticing..
After the first week.. I did my best to avoid him like the plague..

Re: House Guests
No guests has stayed with us for more than a week or two, if they were to proceed for more than one month the title 'guest' has no value after that.

Re: House Guests
Saraxnow,
I have a problem with MARTI MARTI wadato; this happens when you invite someone to stay in your home and he/she brings her/his friends to stay with him.
This phenomenon is very common at my house. I think, I need to rent a one bedroom apartment instead of the 4 bedrooms.
