lowe's biggest customers are right wing christians ie the tea party crowd, they made the calculation that its better to offend the minority muslims than majority christians hence why they pulled the add. no matter how much you dilute your religion, you are still at the bottom of the totem pole as a muslim, assuming you are muslim.

First of all, Lowe's is a national company and they have stores in liberal parts of the country and more conservative, ultra right wing parts of the country. They obviously made a big PR blunder by bowing to the demands of one bat shit crazy bigot group, and now they are being denounced by everyone from congressman to thousands of normal every day American people posting negative comments on their facebook page.

There's no better place in the world to be a Muslim then the United States of America.

The Prophet lived in the seventh century. Just because our omniscient deity said that our religion was perfected in the seventh century doesn't mean it's without its flaws.

Despite the whole "this day, your religion has been perfected for you " verse in the Qur'an and the commandments to follow the Sunnah of our Prophet, it's obvious that Islam needs to progress as a faith, hence my support of progressive Islam.
