Rasulullah SAW said:

“Allah will enter three people into Jannah by one arrow. The first one is the maker who makes it with the intention of reward and the archer and the person who stands by, (passing it to the archer).”

And he said:

“Do archery and horse riding. To practice archery is more beloved to me than horse riding, and whoever forgets archery, disliking it after learning it, surely he has left a great bounty (or he said), he has been ungrateful to a bounty." (Saheeh at-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb and Abu Dawud)

wtf is archery and horseriding gonna do for you in this modern age of guns and tanks ? literal definition of the religion does not mean leaving your common sense behind.

The point, archery and horseriding, adapted to modern warfare, can be employed. Insurgencies such as the Taliban and al-Shabaab employ both. So, don't ridicule the prophet's (pbuh) advice and recommendation.

Dude, no one implied you only need those two to win a war. Those two can be employed and are efficient in certain situations, especially by small teams, special forces, commandos, etc.

I would also like to shake your memory about the movie Predator, in which Schwarzenegger employs a bow and an arrow with gunpowder to defeat the alien.
