He is a 23 yr old graduate by the name of Abdi Farah and he is the winner of Work of Art Prize. He has been heralded as possibly the next great American artist of recent times. He has his art pieces displayed in the Brooklyn Museum and you will find there are many articles on the web about him.

Her has sold many pieces of his art and he is currently recruiting for interns for this summer. Who would have thought there was a renowned Somali artist lurking somewhere

He's not Muslim, he's Christian, as one can see from his site. Here's a blurb that shows this:
