As taught to kids, Santa Claus rewards those with good behavior.
Sounds eerily like someone else, no? Someone like...their Lord maybe?
It doesn't stop there. How do you think kids feel when they find out Santa was never real? How much trust and belief do they then have?

When the children grow up they are initiated into one of the kivas, where they learn the history and mythology of the tribe, and become Kachinas themselves. It's all part of becoming an adult.
