Sheikh isxaaq was not Shia Sheikh Isxaaqs great grand father Jacfar al zaki was his grandfather he rejected shiasim so the shiates called him Jacfar al kadaab so technically Sheikh isxaaq ibn Ahmed Al ridawi was not a Shiate he was ahli al bait. There were Zayidis in Seylac in the 12 13 century though but Zayidis are closer to sunis than Shitates though there are some similarties with shiates.

sxb i believe more research should be done about the shiica influence in somalia. it was known that zaidis from yemen and shiraziz from persia came to somalia in the middle ages, especially zeila and mogadishu. infact some tombs in mogadishu still have shia markings on them, and i believe the ajuran imams were overthrown cos they inherited some shia beliefs and they left the shariah.

al nasir was persucting ahlul bait.

Sheikh isxaaq identity is well establishedsuch an individual his identity is not disputed Sheikh isxaaq bani Ahmed Bin Muhamamd Bin Hashim his history and life as a person and biography is well documented as for the DNA several people took the dna tests but that didn't exclude or proof anything all the genetic results that came in can be found in the so called Arabs Whether Moroccon Arabs or iraqi and Syrian Arabs.

No somali DNA is mainly constricted to our region .The only way so far we can only get to the bottom of this would be to
1/ Take his DNA sample in his tomb
2/ Take everybody, like every Isaaq DNA in order to determine his direct decsendants .
But I wouldn't advise anybody to do that . In my opinion we jut gotta accept our "arabized" state as we are .

Saxib sheekadan DNA iyo tariikhda inaga ina haysata , carabta qudhadeeda way haysata , oo mid waliba inu dhinaciisu usoo jeediyo sheekada ayuu raba .
Something that works , qofkii raba inu sheeko aan la hubin ku badalo , waa la iska ilaaliya .
Anagu haddeynu nahay reer sheikh Isaxaaq , tarikhdayadu WORKS FOR US , and that's the bottom line .

It's possible but not probable. Many Zayidi Shia migrated from Al-Iraq mainly to South Asia but a few went to other places such as Yemen. Also Ibn Batuta in his travels to Zeila did say the dominant Madhab of that land was Shia
Zaydis are the most moderate of the Shi'a groups and the nearest to the Sunnis in their Aqeeda
