Ethiopia wants to use our port, transport their goods through our country without paying a dime. One must ask what the hell is in it for us?
I understand that Ethiopia is brotherly nation, neighboring nation with which we excercise strong ties both diplomatically and military. But this is bussiness and bussiness without taxes is not profitable for our country.

I partially blame the previous adminstration for this mess. The Ethiopians used to import all sorts of stuff including weapons and other expensive goods and never paid penny under Rayaale's Adminstration. I would be very suprised if Silaanyo interefers with the finance minister for asking the Ethiopians to do the right thing and pay up for their usage. That is fair bussiness practice

Ethiopia Somaliland relations are purely based on interest Economical interest they use the berbera port they pay for it that's how it goes and we will continue to have that , galia u welcome ethiopian xabashi troops inside beledweyne and you have the nerve to talk

Did you even read what the rift is about its not about Ethiopians not paying for the berbera port use they do its about them not wanting to pay Port tax for certain Ethiopian bussenismen since they do not pay transport tax the Ethiopians, Somaliland government charged them Extra port tax ,And they do not want to pay for that but they have to swallow it u dhadhici cunaha
