The liberalism is only going to get even more entrenched as the immigrant generation dies off and the second generation goes off to liberal universities.

They should talk about it. Give educated responses to any questions people might have. This reaction doesn't cut it anymore.

This would never happen here in the UK, the masjid would be fire-bombed. You guys must have very liberal Muslims. We have this at university though, I have met gay Muslims and its not an oxymoron, they pray and fast just like everyone else. Its good to talk and hear what people have to say and what the scriptures say in a safe environment. One woman in a documentary said that we should throw them off cliffs, why shouldnt whatever she read be clarified? Its a public service.

This is wrong on so many levels, to held an event of that incompetency in a masajid.
