Re: Wisdom Teeth removal
didn't have to pay a cent, then again I live in Canada
post-procedure is excruciating though and it lasted for about a week. I think they only took out one of the them.
Unless it bothers you now don't take it out, otherwise lots of pain-killers and expect a flow of blood out of your mouth in the first few days.
Note: that was just my experience, don't wanna freak you out

I had 2 removed and my insurance covered both times.
I guess it depends on which package you have.

Depends on whether or not ur going in for an emergency, not.
I can easily see you dishing out 500, per "pulling" visit.

Re: Wisdom Teeth removal
I think my insurance covered it.
It was a horrible experience. Vicodin made me miserable. I was throwing up for an entire day, and once the nausea wore off, I was knocked out. Like, I was only awake for maybe four, five hours a day, and for the rest of the time I was either high as hellllll or dead asleep.

Re: Wisdom Teeth removal
I had all four removed at once some years ago. I also didn't pay a dime as my health insurance covered it but I remember them telling me that it was just about $200 each.

Re: Wisdom Teeth removal
Fah,
Check the NIH website, they have an ongoing study regarding wisdom tooth and for people participating in their study the tooth removal is free.
By the way if it is not causing any major pain, I don't think it is neccessary to remove it.

Re: Wisdom Teeth removal
Correction:
Fah, this is the info, call the number and if phone does not work let me know. Also rememberm eventhough the removal is free, they are conducting a study.
Free Wisdom Teeth Removal
NIDCR seeks volunteers in need of wisdom teeth removal to participate in clinical studies evaluating new pain medicines. Patients will have their wisdom teeth removed at no cost by a board-certified oral surgeon using local anesthesia and intravenous sedation. Patients may also choose to participate in another study in which a single wisdom tooth is removed using local anesthesia only. The study involves imaging of the brain following oral surgery using positron emission tomography (PET scanning). Patients are required to make several visits to NIH but will be paid for their time if they complete all phases of the study. For more information contact ,1-800-411-1222
