. All his three deputies accompany him in dangerous trips. He is like “you all coming with me, just in case”

. The two guys on his sides, albeit being ministers and deputy premiers, look like two good professional bodyguards. You would think that anytime the premier takes trips to hotspots, he would leave the deputies behind to run the government affairs, but this guy bring them with him. One is Cagdheer and the other is Iidoor.
Seriously look at the suits these guys are wearing; is that really necessary when your people are suffering. In my view, all of them went there for the loot. And trust me, I have read reports that said less than 3% of foreign aid reaches the disadvantaged people.
Somali politics is entrepreneurial. It usually involves diaspora losers who cannot take a decent job and conflict entrepreneurs. If you see someone taking a position in the somali government, that person is likely to be devoid of intelligence.
But, I don't think this PM is in it for bucks. He is probably honest and wants to do a difference. The problem is that after awhile it is if you can't beat them join them.
True also that these MF are living a life of bounty at the behest of the millions who are suffering. The somali politicians appear to be involved in a reality show on how to wear suits and ties.
I was at a conference recently and someone claiming to be an ambassador for the somali government presented what he called "the current situation of Somalia". He showed a video on the famine, the fight against al-sheydhaans and how the government was functioning. After the presentation, a top EU official lamented that looking at the ministers, president and government officials give the impression that somalia is a country of designer clothes. This so called ambassador never got the joke but insisted on getting some funds.
Actually, the notion of dressing upp is a universal phenomenon that characterises somalis everywhere. In the diaspora, you will notice that we are becoming a show -off people without substance.
