He argues that United States takes money from poor middle class people and it gives that money to rich people in Africa. I think the guy is a bit crazy but trust me he has valid points on this argument. Just look at this picture; you have a typical American college professor who was making about 6000 a month but now collects about 20,000 a month in one of the poorest countries in the world. You have a elementary school teacher assistant from Britain, the Eelaay guy in the back, who now collects a fat 10,000 cheque a month. How much does an elementary school in UK makes?
How many of you know that a Kenyan MP takes about 10,000 a month for salary. And remember that while Kenya is economically ok compared to countries in the Horn yet it collects billions in foreign aid a year.

Guhaad, Foreign aid is a killer; it limits the ability of developed countries to progress. It also enriches the elite ruling class.
Those are facts although they are trickling down effects. I have read studies which show that only a few percent of foreign aid actually reaches the needy. Several developing countries' budgets are subsidized by foreign aid.
But, why do you have the picture of the somali PM?

Initially what got my attention on this picture was the canniness of the premier, typical Dhabayac

. All his three deputies accompany him in dangerous trips. He is like “you all coming with me, just in case”

. The two guys on his sides, albeit being ministers and deputy premiers, look like two good professional bodyguards. You would think that anytime the premier takes trips to hotspots, he would leave the deputies behind to run the government affairs, but this guy bring them with him. One is Cagdheer and the other is Iidoor.
Seriously look at the suits these guys are wearing; is that really necessary when your people are suffering. In my view, all of them went there for the loot. And trust me, I have read reports that said less than 3% of foreign aid reaches the disadvantaged people.

Somali politics is entrepreneurial. It usually involves diaspora losers who cannot take a decent job and conflict entrepreneurs. If you see someone taking a position in the somali government, that person is likely to be devoid of intelligence.
But, I don't think this PM is in it for bucks. He is probably honest and wants to do a difference. The problem is that after awhile it is if you can't beat them join them.
True also that these MF are living a life of bounty at the behest of the millions who are suffering. The somali politicians appear to be involved in a reality show on how to wear suits and ties.
I was at a conference recently and someone claiming to be an ambassador for the somali government presented what he called "the current situation of Somalia". He showed a video on the famine, the fight against al-sheydhaans and how the government was functioning. After the presentation, a top EU official lamented that looking at the ministers, president and government officials give the impression that somalia is a country of designer clothes. This so called ambassador never got the joke but insisted on getting some funds.
Actually, the notion of dressing upp is a universal phenomenon that characterises somalis everywhere. In the diaspora, you will notice that we are becoming a show -off people without substance.

a typical teacher here gets paid 35K£ a year, about 50k$, but he was a supply/assitant teach making around 25k£ a year.
ps: in kenya they actually make 20k£ a month tax free for MPs, cabinet gets expenses paid whilst governors make a bit mor.
the retired general of the country once retired receives a visit from the british prime minister and they offer him to buy or build any sized building on any continent on earth, these guys as the best paid and they dont stay in the job for 4 years like mps, but maybe 15-20 years.

I think I side with Ron Paul, in nearly all of his policies. The most important (to me) being the detrimental effects of social services. I wonder how things would've turned out though, had they not existed. His view on Civil Rights though, might be considered a stretch. But when you consider patterns since then, there isn't much to say about it.
Foreign Aid

What about Warlord Sinlanyo, who gets 30, 000 dollars a month for aid to Somaliland
The warlords in Somliland at the moment take 70% of Somalia's aid, so Ron Paul is right
