He grew up in the UK, went to school in the UK, was trained in running in the UK, his UK coach encouraged him to be an athlete and compete and the UK sponsored and financed his training, his wife is British, so it makes sense that he represents the UK since they helped become a pro. But still he doesn't forget his roots and reps it hard

^^ Yup he will use his fame and his income to help the somali people back home, also he is helping to fund an athletics club back home so in the future more home-grown runners will be around Insha'Allah

i heard him on somali bbc a couple weeks back he started a mo farah foundation and is working with K'naan, famous somali dhalinyaro with big hearts weeyan i hope the fame doesn't make them sell-outs in the future
