Last I knew, there are more than just three who topped grieves, even outside of Rhymesayers. And personally speaking, It Was Written > illmatic (i'll be stabbed for this lol).

Anyway, hip-hop to me has just as many subgenres as many other types of music. There's so much out there that there's no sense in comparing.
